Whether you're ending a dinner party on a high note or treating yourself to a moment of luxury, Tiramisu always delivers.

Ingredients for a Coffee Liqueur Tiramisu

  • 270g mascarpone
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 75g castor sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla or 1 vanilla pod
  • 200ml espresso
  • 100g savoiardi biscuits
  • 60ml Little Juniper Dark Side Coffee Liqueur
  • Cocoa powder

Essential tools

  • Weighing/measuring utensils
  • Stand mixer
  • Coffee machine
  • Fridge 😉

How to make a Coffee Liqueur Tiramisu

  1. In a stand mixer on medium, whisk eggs, sugar & vanilla until pale/fluffy – approximately 3mins
  2. Reduce the mixer to low and add the mascarpone in stages
  3. Increase it to medium/high and mix until soft peaks
  4. Add 10ml of the coffee liqueur
  5. Refrigerate egg mix for 1hr
  6. Meanwhile, mix coffee with the remaining 50ml of liqueur and allow to cool
  7. Dip the biscuits in the coffee mix (both sides) and layer in a serving bowl or approximately a 7” pan
  8. Top the biscuits with the egg mix aka zabaglione and smooth it out *see tips*
  9. Refrigerate for 1-2hrs and then dust with cocoa powder before serving

Tips for the perfect Coffee Liqueur Tiramisu

  • Allow the coffee to cool before dipping the biscuits
  • The biscuits will soak up the coffee mixture, so literally dip them, turn them over, dip them again and remove
  • We used a large bowl for our tiramisu, so we only did 1 layer, but you can make up to 3 layers depending on the size of your serving bowl
  • Always store the tiramisu in the fridge until ready to serve
  • Feel free to make this non-alcoholic, but where is the fun in that 😉
