Little Cello Yuzu Spritz Cocktail Recipe
Designed by: OZIN Restaurant
Featuring Little Juniper, Little Cello Limoncello and Little Juniper Signature Gin from our Adelaide Hills Distillery
The Little Cello Yuzu Spritz cocktail is bright, citrus-forward, and effervescent. This signature spritz balances the sharp tang of yuzu with the smooth, botanical notes of gin and the sweetness of premium limoncello.
Here's what you'll need:
Ingredients for a Limoncello Yuzu Spritz Cocktail
- 30ml Little Juniper Little Cello Limoncello
- 30ml Little Juniper Signature Gin
- 20ml Yuzu Puree
- 10ml Simple Syrup
- Top up: Soda Water
- A fresh lemon wheel
- A sprig of mint leaves
How to make a Limoncello Spritz Cocktail
- Chill the Glasswork. Begin by filling a large wine glass generously with fresh, cubed ice. A chilled glass ensures the carbonation stays active longer.
- The Base Build. Pour the Signature Gin, Little Cello Limoncello, Yuzu Puree, and Simple Syrup directly over the ice.
- Incorporate. Give the mixture a gentle stir with a bar spoon to integrate the yuzu puree—it’s thicker than the other spirits and needs a quick lift to ensure a consistent flavour throughout.
- The Lift. Top the glass with chilled Soda Water. Pour slowly to maintain the bubbles.
- The Finish. Give one final, very gentle fold with your spoon. Garnish and serve immediately while crisp and cold.
Bartender’s Note
"The key to the OZIN Yuzu Spritz is the quality of the puree. Since yuzu is naturally more floral and tart than a standard lemon, the Little Cello Limoncello acts as the perfect bridge, adding a silky mouthfeel and a hit of sweetness that rounds out the gin's botanicals."
